You can start working with a book coach at any point in your writing process. Some authors want to start with a coach at the beginning/idea generating stage, and others wait until they have a manuscript in hand. Regardless of where you are in your book journey, a book coach can help you move forward.

Meet Our Book Coach

I’m Jackie, an author, a teacher, and a book coach from North Dakota. I have been working with writers for years, coaching and editing fiction, nonfiction, and academic writing. I have been an educator for seven years, and have worked with students from 6th grade all the way up to PhD candidates.

My husband and I have two wonderful daughters with a contagious love for life. They keep us on our toes and inspire us to find joy in each day.

Fun Facts:

I write books for teachers, and I am also writing a YA fantasy trilogy.
I’m an INFJ-T on the Myers-Briggs scale, which means I am an Advocate.
I have been writing since childhood. My first piece of creative writing was an extended ending for The Giver, which was a favorite book of mine in elementary school.
I am an avid reader of YA/NA fantasy and dystopian books. I love getting lost in the pages of Ahdieh, Riordan, or Rowling or listening to the latest Sarah J. Maas audiobook with my husband.

What does it cost to work with a book coach?

Since every writer works at a different pace, the cost of working with a book coach varies greatly from author to author. Some writers can crank out a finished draft in a few months and only need a handful of coaching sessions, but many need longer than that. For that reason, each book coaching package is priced based on the amount of time spent working with the author.

Each coaching plan includes a one-hour strategy session via phone or video chat in which the coach and editor will make a game plan for the book and begin the planning process.

Clients are expected to commit to continuous coaching for the duration of their project.

Basic Package: $99 per month

Billed Monthly.

Up to 10 pages per month.

Feedback on your writing through track changes and email.
